Indoor Sports (Atari ST, Amiga, PC) - A multi-sport sim of indoor games - bowling, darts, shuffleboard, and others. First of all, let me tell you - this game sucks. It sucks REALLY hard. It may be the most maddening, uncontrollable, and unfun game I've ever played. Even starting a game is a chore. There's only one redeeming quality: "the bowler face". And it is with this one tiny addition that it becomes one of the greatest games of all time. In the nearly unplayable bowling section of the game, there was a face that would 'gauge' your play. Since the ball was impossible to control, you'd get the "bowler face" - one of several expressions of the guy confused, sad, and angry. Other than this, the game stunk. But "the bowler face" made it all worthwhile, and my friends and I still use it today to indicate our emotions. Memorable moment: Look to your left. You need more? |
