Qix (Arcade): Another oddball title, and perhaps the originator of the puzzle genre, and stioll probably my favorite puzzler ever. You control a ... well ... a cursor, I guess, and the object is to draw at least 75% of the screen. You can draw either slow (more points) or fast (fewer points, but easier) to acquire the area. Of course, you are not alone - the mighty Quark is out to get you. This mass of lines moves along in a very mysterious, ominous fashion. If you've never played this one, I urge you to do so right away! Memorable moment: The nasty electrical sound that accompanies the Quark. |
