Tempest 2000
(Atari Jaguar) - Shocking as it might seem, I find two (actually three or
four) of the greatest games ever to be on one of the most criticized systems
of all time. Tempest 2000 to me typifies how gaming SHOULD be: all action,
moving at such a rate you cannot be distracted or you're a goner. Forget
3D exploration and finding hidden passageways. T2K's gameplay is in your
face, every second of the game. The best soundtrack ever in a game, with
psychadelic scaling effects that have yet to be topped.
Memorable moment: Playing the game DAILY for
over a year and not tiring of it. |
